Now offering a FAR Infrared Sauna wrap therapy.

You might be wondering - why a wrap? Can’t I just go sit in a sauna? Yes, you certainly could. A basic Sauna isn’t going to provide you with the FAR Infrared. You could seek out a FAR Infrared Sauna, however you still won’t be receiving all the benefits of being wrapped directly in the sauna. An infrared body wrap can be 25% more effective in providing wellness benefits than an infrared sauna. Infrared heat seems to be more effective when it does not have to travel through as much space to reach the body. For example, the gap between your body and the radiant heating elements in a sauna may be from 6 inches to a couple of feet with the space lowering the effective amount of energy reaching your skin. During a wrap the design permits gaps of 1 millimeter to perhaps 6 inches; less loss due to distance means more energy and more sweat.

Infrared Sauna Wrap

Detoxing can help remove toxins that build up in our system that can cause sickness, aches, pains, allergies, mood swings, and so much more.


Expelling heavy metals and organic acids through sweating can help rebalance digestion and your metabolism, and both of those can impact skin health and clarity. Sweat released through an infrared treatment contains as much as 20% fats and toxins, compared to 3-5% in regular sweat. These toxins include alcohol, nicotine, sulfuric acid, and ammonia.

Fitness, Weight Loss & Cellulite Control

Toxins can play a significant role in preventing us from losing weight as well as gaining weight. The body will even create fat to store chemical toxins when they exceed the body's ability to store them. Those wishing to lose weight should also note that the cardiovascular effect from a single sauna session burns as many as 600 calories during a 30 minute session and 1,000 during a 50 minute session.

Incorporating infrared sessions with a healthy lifestyle can help you reach health and fitness goals. One of the most notable and exciting benefits is weight loss. During an wrap session, your body’s core temperature is raised above 100.6°F, which causes your body to enter a cool-down mode, inducing 3-5 times more sweat than exercise alone. And since sweating burns calories, you’ll burn a lot of calories during your session.

Infrared can also rebalance your metabolism, speeding up the rate at which calories are burned through your session, and after.

Fat becomes water-soluble at 100.5°F and can break up into smaller particles, which can be purged from the body through the lymphatic system. Because fat becomes water soluble at body temperatures reached during a wrap session, some of this fat is flushed out through the lymphatic system, and pockets of fat known as cellulite can decrease in size. Combined with infrared’s collagen rebuilding benefits, those fat deposits can be rearranged further away from the skin’s surface, which will help prevent the accumulation of cellulite.

Infrared treatments can lower your lactic acid levels after a workout, so not only can the heat soothe sore muscles, but it can aid in speeding up muscle recovery. An infrared treatment prior to a workout can help increase endurance.


Pain Relief and Pain Management

By dilating blood vessels, infrared heat increases blood circulation to injured areas, speeding up the healing process and relieving pain. Infrared heat has also been used extensively in the treatment of arthritis, rheumatism, and muscle spasms. 

Infrared waves penetrate the body to create heat that results in immediate therapeutic benefits through increased blood flow and tissue oxygenation that provides more energy to heal. The study by Matsushita et al. (2008) found that chronic pain patients experienced a significant reduction in pain levels (nearly 70%) after the first session of infrared therapy. Pain experience also decreased significantly and remained low throughout the observation period.

Heat is well-documented as a therapy for many kinds of pain. Because infrared heat can soothe agitated nerve endings, the wrap can help ease and manage pain caused by a multitude of conditions and injuries.

Infrared also increases circulation dramatically, from 5-7 quarts per minute, to as much as 13 quarts per minute. This increase in nutrient and oxygen rich blood flow can help heal the body and relieve pain.

Sweet Sweat


Sweet Sweat is activated by your elevated heart rate and may help the body sweat more during exercise. This topical gel works best during cardio, circuit, and high-intensity interval training. Can also be used while swimming, and in dry or infrared saunas.

How do I prepare for my Sauna Session?

Hydrate before your session. Don't drink anything cold for fifteen minutes before your session. Room temperature water is best.

Wear or bring soft, comfortable cotton clothing. Swimsuit or gym style clothing is acceptable. You can also where a bra and underwear, just no underwire. Long sleeve shirt, sweatpants (not leggings) and socks that cover exposed skin below pants.

You will want to have clean, dry clothes to put on after your session.

Your body should be clean and free of creams, lotions and perfumes. 

Don't eat right before your appointment.

What should I do during my session?

Prepare to either just rest or listen to earbuds. Your arms will be zipped into the sauna blanket and you must remain still so as not to damage the equipment.

What should I do after my session?

Hydrate! You will need to drink lots of room temperature water after your session. You should avoid drinking anything hot or cold, it should be room temp.

Do not eat for four hours.

Do not shower for four hours.

How often can I use the infrared sauna wrap?

We allow sessions no more than every other day.

What should I expect at my session?

You will be shown to the room where your treatment will take place. You'll be given an opportunity to change into the attire you wish to wear during your treatment. You will then lay in the sauna and it will be zipped up to your chest and the timer will be started. You should leave your arms in the sauna during the treatment and not utilize any electronic devices. You may request to end your treatment before the designated time if you feel the need to. After your treatment you are provided with warm towels to clean and dry off so that you can change into clean and dry clothing. 

Cancellation Policy

Applies to cancellations, late arrivals and reschedules

We ask that you please reschedule or cancel at least 1 day (24 hours) before the beginning of your appointment or you may be charged a cancellation fee of 100% of the cost of your service.


Please remember that appointments are scheduled for the time needed to complete your service. If you arrive late to your appointment it may need to be rescheduled and this is at the discretion of Private Eyes Studio. This would then be within the 24 hour cancellation / reschedule window and require the fee of 100% of the cost of your scheduled service. This would need to be paid prior to scheduling or receiving any further services. Your time is valuable, but so is ours. 

If you arrive late to your appointment and we are still able to complete services you will not be allowed to run over into the next client's appointment. We don't believe in inconveniencing another client just because you couldn't make it on time. Services will be completed to the best of our ability in the time available for your appointment.
